Introduction
This is my client, Ms Tan. She was referred to me by her sister, Sharon, whom I’ve assisted in both selling and buying properties multiple times.
Reconnecting with the Singapore Property Market
Having lived in the UK for over 20 years, Ms Tan had lost touch with the Singapore property market but wanted to invest in a local property for retirement. Seeking trustworthy advice, she turned to her sister Sharon, who recommended me to guide her in property investing.
Effective Communication and Initial Research
While she is still in the UK, Ms Tan and I communicated effectively to understand her requirements as well as to address her concerns. I did some research on properties that potentially have good upside and sent them to her for review. Additionally, I explained the progressive payments involved.
Preparing for a Productive Trip
Due to her short stay in Singapore and to make it a fruitful trip, I diligently researched and carefully selected properties suitable for her, including both leasehold and freehold options across different regions of Singapore.
Property Viewings and Selection
By the time Ms Tan arrived in Singapore, I had already arranged appointments for her to visit several show flats. After a week of viewings, she shortlisted and eventually decided on a freehold project in the town area. It’s conveniently located within walking distance to the MRT, surrounded by eateries and good amenities, promising a good rental yield and strong potential for capital appreciation. Additionally, it’s a freehold property comparable to a leasehold price.
Finalizing the Investment
I also advised her on an exit strategy should she decide to sell in the future.
Conclusion
Congratulations to Ms Tan on securing this property and making a successful and productive trip back to Singapore!
